This premium 5 stage RO(REVERSE OSMOSIS) water filter system provides ultra fresh, great tasting water right at home for drinking, cooking, ice & coffee making, baby-formula, pet feeding, beauty washing, dietary or medical uses, and precious plants watering.





Features:

• Stage 1: sediment filter (recommended replacement - 6 months); this 5-micron sediment filter traps sediment and particulate matter such as dirt, silt, and rust that affect the taste and appearance of your water.
• Stage 2 and Stage 3: GAC & carbon block filter (recommended replacement - 6 months); these 5-micron carbon block filters help reduce chlorine and other chemicals/contaminants that cause bad taste and odor.
• Stage 4: membrane (recommended replacement - 1 year); the RO membrane is the workhorse of the system. This semi-permeable membrane takes out total dissolved solids, sodium, heavy metals, and cysts such as giardia and cryptosporidium.
• Stage 5: post carbon filter (recommended replacement - 12 months); the final stage is an in-line granular activated carbon. This filter is used as a final polishing filter.
• The tank has a 3.5 gallons storage capacity that will allow you to get up to 3.5 gallons of pure water at a time.

HOW REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER TREATMENT WORKS: Osmosis is the process of water passing through a semi-permeable membrane to balance the concentration of contaminants on each side of the membrane. A semi-permeable membrane is a barrier that will pass some particles and pure water, but not other particles such as arsenic and lead. By applying pressure across the membrane, it concentrates contaminants (like a strainer does) on one side of the membrane, producing crystal clear water on the other. Consequently, RO systems produce both pure drinking water and waste water that is flushed from the system.
