This model is 100% hand built from scratch using "plank on frame" construction method. The master craftsman has spent over 50 hours to finish it. One feature that makes this model different is the art of wood use. Exotic woods such as mahogany and teak really make this model stand out. Plank decking with details such as metal rails, metal ship wheel, deck houses and pulleys. Come with a wooden stand with metal name plate. Some simple assembly require including putting the mast up.

History:
The Shamrock V was launched by Sir Thomas Lipton after his fourth had lost. For his challenger, Lipton turned once more to Charles Nicholson, who produced a beautiful sloop. When the races started, Shamrock found herself pitted against Enterprise. In the best-of-seven series Enterprise won four, Shamrock failed to score a single victory.
